The most common size for booklets and catalogs (folded finished sizes) are 5.5 x 8.5 (half page) or 8.5 x 11 (full page). The most common way to bind these are by the pages being folded and stapled (stitched) in the crease of the fold, but they can also be made by coil binding, perfect/glue binding or three hole punched and placed in a binder. For the stitched binding, each piece of folded paper creates 4 pages in the book, so it must be set in multiples of 4 (i.e. 4, 12, 16, 20, 24 and etc.) up to a possible 80 pages. As for the coil, perfect or binder methods, they can be set in multiples of 2 (i.e. 2,4,6,8 etc.).
You can use the same paper stock throughout the product or the cover can be made of a heavier cover stock and the insides of a text weight. We can print these on glossy or matte paper and they can print with images/backgrounds on the edge of the finished product (see Bleed Instructions for more information).
Because there are so many possibilities for the type of book you want a custom quote is usually required for books. The number of color pages, weight of paper, bleed and number of pages all effect the cost.
